It has been agreed with Cricket Ireland High Performance Director , that the duties of the Munster Reds Men’s Head Coach will be expanded into a part-time role (70 days annually) until the end of 2023.

This expansion will positively impact on the programmes and activities of the Munster Cricket representative programmes. With the expansion of the Men’s programme in both Dublin and in Cork, and a full schedule of  Reds and Heat fixtures, it is imperative that a dedicated resource be allocated to the performance programme to ensure that our most talented players in Munster receive the correct level of coaching and support to further enhance their development.  The Head Coach will work closely with the Munster General Manager and Munster Heat Coach/Pathway Manger Ted Williamson.

“This dedicated resource for the betterment of players in the MCU pathway will have a huge impact on future players in the Munster Cricket Union. Now we just need to hire the right person and get the ball rolling . I am looking forward to working with the new Head Coach and hopefully seeing players from Munster develop into Reds and Future Irish Internationals”
