Cricket in Munster
Youth Munster has vibrant and growing youth cricket at school, club and provincial level.
We run inter-club and schools’ competitions across a range of ages and grades:
Junior & Senior Munster
Schools Championships
U11/Minor Youth Blitz’s
U13 Inter-club League
Colts Inter-club League
U17/Senior Youth Challenge series
In addition, our youth players make up a significant proportion of the adult sides across the provincial competitions as clubs promote youth development.

Youth Cricket Development
At representative and inter provincial levels, we are engaged in a long-term developmental program with the aim of producing ‘Home grown’ future adult Reds players. Munster currently fields a representative side in partnership with Leinster Youth in the Cricket Ireland U15 & U17 Interprovincial Series, with an aim to eventually develop an entirely MCU team.
As part of this program we have ‘MCU’ teams in the new Cricket Leinster youth competitions at Colts/U17 levels and senior youth players involved in the Munster Heat development squad.
