Premier Division
Only one game was played this weekend which was a last over thriller at Lydican where Cork County kept their title hopes alive with a 2 wicket win over Galway. The Tribesmen batted first and scored 180 but County reached the target with 3 balls remaining.
This means that, as we enter the business end of the season 3 teams are in the mix for top team. Currently Kerry lead with Cork Harlequins and Cork County in the mix. This league won’t be resolved until late September.

Division 1
It remains a one-horse race despite Cork County losing to Limerick Blasters by 17 runs last Saturday. The Leesiders must have been relieved to see the results coming in on Saturday evening. The chasing pack of Midleton and Nenagh failed to capitalise as both also lost to Cork Harlequins by 13 runs and to Limerick by 7 wickets respectively. Only UCC moved up a place in the table to third with a comprehensive 73 run victory over Kerry. Cork County will secure the title should they not lose any more games.

Division 2
This is the division to watch over the coming weeks with 5 teams vying for top position. Just 10% separate the top 5 with the Leaders. Limerick Blasters 35 run loss to Kerry allowed others to capitalise. Limerick’s leapfrogged Blasters into top spot after a 6 wicket win over Midleton. Positions 3-5 remained the same as Nenagh had a huge 137 run victory over Clonmel and Cork County defeated Cork Harlequins by 11 runs. With only 10 games to go, who will have the nerve to win their remaining games?

Their Deise neighbours, Lismore equally had a good win after defeating Cork Harlequins by 44 runs. With 10 games to go this division could go all the way to 17th September.
