The result also underlined the continued development of a youthful Munster group, with several players contributing in decisive moments across both innings.
Emerging Warriors innings — 76 all out (19.2 overs)
Munster set the tone from the outset, striking early and maintaining pressure through a sustained run of dot balls and regular wickets. William Shields provided the initial breakthrough and continued to shape the innings through the powerplay, including the wicket of Gavin Roulston (0) and later removing Hassan Shahid and J Smallwoods to keep Emerging Warriors from establishing any early momentum.
Support came from multiple bowlers operating with clear plans. Umer Hassan Khan removed M Hussain for 0, while Seneth Sumanasinghe delivered a decisive spell in the middle overs, taking key wickets including C McClay (7), Adam Thompson (0) and S Jha (1). Emerging Warriors’ main resistance came through Luke Marillier, who made 27 (27) before being caught by Dineth Sumanasinghe off Zubair Hassan Khan, and Munster’s intensity in the field was reflected again when Elham Momand effected the excellent run out of M Robinson late in the innings to close the innings at 76.
Munster bowling and fielding highlights included: Shields providing early breakthroughs, S Sumanasinghe striking repeatedly through the middle phase, Zubair Hassan Khan removing a set batter in Marillier, and clean work in the field to convert pressure into wickets.

Chasing a modest target, Munster batted with control and avoided offering the opposition a route back into the match. The innings was anchored by Dineth Sumanasinghe, who made 39 (39) with five fours and two sixes, giving Munster early scoring momentum and ensuring the required rate never became an issue. After he was dismissed in the 11th over, Munster briefly consolidated, but the chase remained firmly in their control and the target was reached with eight wickets in hand.
Beyond the runs, Dineth Sumanasinghe’s impact also came behind the stumps, where his wicketkeeping standards were a major feature of the win. He completed four catches and helped maintain the pressure that led to Emerging Warriors being dismissed inside 20 overs.
