Despite the stormy weather brought by Storm Darragh, the first session of the Munster Cricket Union’s (MCU) Coaching Network took place at Douglas Community School on Friday, December 6th.

Led by Jeremy Bray, the head coach of the Munster Reds and Munster Heat, the session attracted coaches from Lismore, Cork County, Cork Harlequins, and United Cricket Clonmel.

The session was a blend of theory and practical application. Coaches delved into the art of batting analysis and learned effective techniques for providing player-centered feedback. They also had the opportunity to observe Munster players in the nets, applying the theoretical concepts in a real-world setting.

The session is the first in a series that will help coaches improve their skills in batting, bowling, fielding, tactics, analysis and more. The 2 hour class was very well received by all those who attended, and the coaches are looking forward to the next one!
