Cork County 1 (205/9) beat Midleton 1 (133/10) by 72 runs.
Down the N20 to Cork, at the Richard Beamish Ground, Cork County beat the visiting Midleton side by 72 runs. Abdul Ghaffar 61no, Ross Durity 49, Harsh Jangra 3/12, for the home side. Syed Aiman 40, Christian Laubscher 3/34 for Midleton.

Junior Cup 2022
Three ties took place in round one
After a covid induced break of two years, this historic competition restarted on Saturday the 14th of May. The Junior Cup was first contested in 1962, since then 57 teams from 16 clubs have got their names engraved on the trophy.
Limerick 2 (95/1) beat Waterford & District 1 (94/10) by 9 wickets.
At the Manor Fields in Adare, Limerick (4-time cup winners) hosted Waterford (4-time Cup winners).
In a low scoring game, the home side won by 9 wickets, with Sourabh Teke 33, Safraz Ramay 38, Mirhamza Ahmedzay 3/9 for Limerick. Sandeep Benapally 19 for Waterford.
Cork Harlequins 2 214/10 lost to KCC2 by 29 runs.
Down to Farmers Cross, Cork where Harlequins (4-time cup winners) hosted Kerry (3-time Cup winners).
The match saw 450 runs with Kerry holding off Harlequins to win by 29 runs. Khuram Iqbal 54, Asadullah Raza 51, Syed Ali taking 3 wickets. For Harlequins, Ted Williamson 36, Shivam Kislay 38, Devon Joyce 39, Esmatullah Ibrihimi taking 3 wickets.
Limerick Blasters 1 (175/10) lost to Nenagh 1 (177/7) by 3 wickets.
The final tie of round one was up in Crokers Oval, Ballyneety, where the Blasters hosted Nenagh, in their new grounds first ever cup match.

Kerry 3 (167/8) beat Cork County 3 (164/10) by 2 wickets.
A close game at the Oyster Oval saw Kerry close out a 2 wicket win over visitors, Cork County. Kamran Muhammad 43, Majid Yousaf 34, Prince Thomas 3/21, Adil Rahil 3/29 for the home side. Craig Taylor 50, Peter Barlow 29 for the visitors.
Cork Harlequins 3 (121/10) lost to Limerick 3 (146/10) by 25 runs.
In Farmers Cross, Cork Harlequins hosted Limerick, with the visitors winning by 25 runs. For Limerick, Kumar Divyesh 55, Mohan Rajendra 4/19, Zaki Khalid 3/16. Zain Hafeez 22 & 3/14 for the home side.
Midleton 3 (197/9) lost to Nenagh 2 (198/7) by 3 wickets.

United Clonmel 1 (163/10) lost to Limerick Blasters 2 (173/10) by 10 runs.

The Division 4 T20 League started this week, the next 40 over game will be July 9th.
Division 4 T20 League
This competition started with a bash at the Oyster Oval, Tralee on Saturday. A festival day of three matches.
Kerry 4 (141/6) lost to Limerick Blasters 4 (161/4) by 20 runs.
The first game of the day had Kerry hosting Blasters, the visitors winning by 20 runs. Blasters, Ajay Rajan 50, Sonu Mathew 33, Jeffrey James 2/23, Shyju Kalloor 2/36. Kerry Sachin Thomas 39, Libin Philip 2/28.
Limerick Blasters 3 (183/5) beat Cork Harlequins 5 (71/9) by 112 runs.
Second up was Blasters against Harlequins. The Limerick side dominated the game to win by 112 runs. Blasters, Vishnu Babu 38, Ajay Rajan 60, Arun Harikumar 2/15, Sonu Mathew 3/3. Harlequins, John Buss 22 & 2/27.
Kerry 4 (101/0) beat Cork Harlequins 5 (100/7) by 10 wickets.
The final match of the day saw Kerry take on Harlequins with the home side winning by 10 wickets. For Kerry, Libin Philip 46 & 3 wickets, Jonathan Boulding 44, Stephen Jonnalagadda 2 wickets. For Harlequins, John Buss 31, Gaurav Sharma 22.
Youth Competitions
None to report this week but games in the U13 T20 league & U15 Super League next weekend.
Summary
In week 5 all scheduled games were completed with results. Stats so far with 20% of the season already completed.
One of the T20 competitions started, round one of the Junior cup is also out the way and we now move into the champagne weekend of Irish Cricket.
Week Six of 2022 will see the first round of the Clear Currency Irish Senior & National Cups with Munster clubs hosting and travelling to clubs from across the island.
In the Senior Cup, at The Richard Beamish Ground, Mardyke, Cork County host LCU’s North Kildare. Cork Harlequins make the 500-kilometre drive to The Holm, Strabane to take on Donemana CC of NWCU.
In the National Cup, UCC gets a bye from the Nedd CC. Galway heads north to Ballaghaderreen of NWCU. Midleton are away to Knockharley CC from LCU. Kerry host Muckamore from NCU at the Oyster Oval. Limerick host Wexford Wanderers from LCU at Adare.
