Munster Cricket is pleased to confirm that cricket will resume at both Cork County and Cork Harlequins following news that a player who exhibited COVID-19 symptoms earlier in the week has returned a negative result.
The test result was confirmed by the HSE and the doctor of the player in question which allows the resumption of cricketing activity at both Cork clubs.
The player had been involved in the fixture between Cork County and Cork Harlequins at the Mardyke last Sunday, 19th July, and as a result cricketing activity ceased in line with COVID-19 protocols once it become known that the player exhibited symptoms and was tested.
The news means that the fixtures due to take place this weekend can continue as planned.
