Limerick Blasters’ Innings: Prabhakaran’s Century Leads the Charge

Limerick Blasters CC 3rd XI, batting first, amassed a big total of 322 for 9 in their 40 overs. The innings was highlighted by an outstanding century from Sreejith Prabhakaran, who remained not out on 118 runs from just 66 balls, including 16 fours and 3 sixes. He built crucial partnerships throughout the innings, playing an anchor role.

The Blasters’ top order provided a strong foundation. Ajay Abraham Rajan scored an quick 50 off 38 balls, and Prestige Jaison contributed a solid 40 runs. Cork, The Farm Curraheen Road: County Kerry CC 1st XI defeated UCC CC 1st XI by 22 runs in an MCU Premier T20 League match on Sunday, June 22nd. Kerry posted a challenging total of 211 for 4 and successfully defended it, restricting UCC to 189 for 7.

County Kerry’s Innings

County Kerry CC 1st XI, after winning the toss and electing to bat, put on an powerful display to reach 211 for 4 in their 20 overs. The innings was characterized by rapid scoring from their top order. Khuram Iqbal led the charge with  45 runs off just 27 balls, including 5 fours and 3 sixes. He was well supported by Alam Morshed (22 off 12) and Awais Saghir (42 off 26)

Limerick’s Innings: Ullah and Divyesh Lead the Recovery

Limerick CC 3rd XI, after being put in to bat by Nenagh, reached a total of 166 for 9 in their 40 overs. Limerick had a cautious start, losing Vinaykumar Nagaraju (5) and Monish Pawar (0) early. B Dahima (19) provided some stability, but the innings truly gained momentum with youth player Ayan Ullah, who scored a valuable 38 runs off 62 balls, including 2 sixes.

After a few more wickets, Kumar Divyesh played a crucial aggressive innings, contributing 32 runs off just 24 balls, with 2 fours and 2 sixes, providing a much-needed boost in the later overs. Cork Harlequins’ Innings: Stevenson’s Half-Century Anchors the Total

Cork Harlequins CC U17 XI, after being put in to bat, set a challenging target of 152 for 6 in their 20 overs. Captain Callum Stevenson led from the front, retiring not out after scoring a classy 50 runs off 41 balls, including 6 fours.

The innings saw consistent contributions from the top order. Aksh Khurana supported well with 39 runs off 41 balls. After Stevenson’s retirement, Jonathan McLaughlin (11) and Martin Milchev Borisov (14) added crucial runs to push the total further.

Waterford & District CC 1st XI, after winning the toss and electing to bat, posted 252 for 8 in their 40 overs. The innings was anchored by an outstanding century from Zubair Shahid, who remained not out on 103 runs off 98 balls, including 12 fours and 3 sixes. He skillfully built partnerships and ensured a high scoring rate.

Earlier, Anbazhagan Aroumont (26) and R Khalily (39) provided a solid opening stand of 70 runs. Sourav Ganguly (15) and Satish Muddar (8) also contributed. Cork County’s Chase: Seehra and Duo Lead to Victory

In pursuit of 217 for victory, Cork County CC 2nd XI successfully chased down the target, reaching 220 for 6 in 41.5 overs. Openers Arpit Ahuja (26) and Gaurav Singh (33) provided a strong start.

The chase was then led by Ishaan Singh Seehra, who scored a vital 42 runs. He was well supported by Robert Duggan (24), Darshit Shetty (20), and Kevin O’Sullivan (22), who played crucial unbeaten innings to guide their team to victory. Cork County also benefited significantly from 38 wides conceded by the Blasters’ bowlers.

Limerick Blasters’ bowlers managed to pick up wickets but struggled to contain the flow of runs. Ajith A was the most successful with 2 wickets. Arun Kumar Harikumar, Aromal TK, and Thomas Raju each claimed one wicket.
