Munster Cricket Union Launches Community First Responder Training
The Munster Cricket Union (MCU) has announced a new initiative to provide Community First Responder (CFR) training to its members.
This training is designed to equip cricketers and our members with the skills and knowledge needed to provide immediate assistance in emergency situations.
The MCU is partnering with Cricket Ireland’s CFR Programme to deliver this training, which will be held on 27th of January in the Mallow Sports Complex. The training will cover a range of topics, including CPR, First Aid, Assessing injuries, CPR, Head injuries, Sprains, Strains, and Cricket injuries.
“We are delighted to be partnering with Cricket Ireland to provide this important training to our members,” said MCU General ManagerJoe Moynihan. “We believe that every member should have the skills and knowledge to respond to an emergency, and this training will provide them with the tools they need to make a real difference.”
The training will be delivered by qualified CFR instructors, and all participants will receive a CFR certification. The cost of the training is free for these initial sessions.
This new initiative from the Munster Cricket Union is a great way to help our members make a real difference in their communities. By providing CPR, First Aid, and AED training, the MCU is empowering its members to become lifesavers.
