One of the quieter weeks to report on with only 12 domestic games scheduled as the representative Heat and u15/17 sides gear up to commence their programmes. The U15s are heading off on Sunday to Belfast for the Interpros.
Premier T20 League
Pleased to report following week 11’s wash out we finally had some top-quality competition. There will be an end-of-competition review of this in a few weeks so only the brief results here.
Cork County lost to Cork Harlequins by 16 runs. In a high-scoring game, Limerick beat Kerry by 4 wickets. Kerry beat Galway by 8 wickets. Cork County beat UCC by 9 wickets.
Division 1 League
Four games on Saturday, with Kerry 2nds v UCC 1sts at the Oyster Oval abandoned. Cork County 2nds 316/5 at home to Limerick Blaster 1sts won by 83 runs DLS. Nenagh 1sts 196/6 beat Limerick 2nds by 4 wickets.
Cork Harlequins 2nds 228/5 beat Midleton 2nds by 5 wickets.
Division 2 League
Four games on Sunday with teams hoping to get their competitions back on track. At Nenagh the home 2nd team hosted Limerick 3rds 303/9 and lost by 62 runs. Down the road at Ballyneety, Crokers Oval home side Blasters 2nds 163 ao beat Cork County 3rds by 45 runs.
Down in the far southwest at the Oyster Oval and Kerry 3rds 131/5 beat visitors Clonmel 1sts by 5 wickets. Over in Townparks, Midleton 3rds 275/9 saw off Harlequins 3rds by 175 runs.
