New Year, new courses! Now is the time to upskill so you’re ready for the new season. From Coaching courses to Safeguarding and Umpiring, the Munster Cricket Union is delighted to offer:
🏏 Coaching Kids 5-11 (One day)
The “Coaching Kids 5-11” course is a one-day (approx. 6 hours) certification for parents, teachers, or young adults to learn to deliver fun, child-centred cricket sessions, covering skills, fun environments, and game management for kids aged 5-11.
Date: 14th or 15th February (TBC) 2026

🏏 Coaching Cricket (2 Days, Old Level 1)
The Coaching Cricket course is aimed at anyone who wants to coach club or school players aged over 11 years. The course is designed to provide new and emerging coaches with the knowledge and skills to deliver player-centred, enjoyable, and safe coaching support with an appropriate focus on cricket skills and long-term player development.
Date: 6th and 7th February 2026

⛑ Safeguarding 1 (Online) Child Welfare & Protection Basic Awareness Course
All Coaches, Children’s Officers and Designated Liaison Persons (DLP) must complete the 3 hour Child Welfare & Protection Basic Awareness Course.
This course educates participants on the implementation of best practice in protecting the welfare of children involved in sport.
