Munster Cricket is on the lookout for a dynamic, organized, and passionate individual to join our
team as a Cricket Operations Officer. Based at our Cork office, this pivotal role will drive the
day-to-day business of the Union and help implement our strategic goals.

About the Role
The Cricket Operations Officer will work directly with Munster Cricket Union (MCU) CEO to
ensure the smooth, efficient running of domestic cricket and technical operations. From
managing competition systems to supporting our representative squads, this role sits at the
heart of our sporting community.
Key responsibilities include:
● Managing day-to-day MCU office operations and administrative tasks.
● Supporting domestic cricket competitions, live scoring systems, and the Operations
Committee.
● Providing team administration and logistics support for Munster Heat, Emerging Squads,
and Regional Development Programmes.
● Assisting clubs with facility grants, accreditation schemes, and developmental
programmes.
● Identifying and preparing grant funding applications to secure the future of cricket in the
province.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a highly organized professional who possesses:
● A third-level degree in sports/recreational management (an MBA is an advantage), OR
at least 3 years of experience in a similar sports administration or team management
role.
● A deep interest in cricket, including its rules, regulations, and policies.
● Strong administrative skills, database management experience, and proficiency in
Microsoft Office.
● Excellent relationship-building and communication skills to collaborate with clubs,
players, volunteers, and Cricket Ireland.
● Flexibility to work unsocial hours, including weekends and bank holidays, alongside
access to suitable transport.
Key Position Details
● Position: Operations Officer (Full -Time, 2 years Fixed Term Contract with potential for
extension)
● Location: Munster Cricket Union Office, Cork
● Salary: €28,000 – €36,000 (depending on qualifications and experience)
● Leave: 24 days per annum pro rata plus statutory bank holidays
● Start Date: August / September 2026
