MCU Sports Hub Senior Cup (50 Overs)
- Match: Cork Harlequins CC 1st XI vs. County Galway CC 1st XI
- Time & Venue: 11:00 am @ Farmers Cross, Cork
- The Lowdown: A heavyweight Senior Cup encounter. Both teams come into this on the back of resilient, character-building cup performances. Hosts Cork Harlequins navigated a shaky start in their last cup outing to successfully chase down Midleton, spearheaded by Seanan Jones’s stunning five-wicket haul and an unbeaten 46 from Shivam Kislay. Meanwhile, County Galway showed immense grit in their previous round, recovering from 63/6 against Clare thanks to a spectacular 119-run partnership between skipper Illif Sumit (53) and Khizar Mehmood (70). Farmers Cross can offer a bit of lateral movement early on, making the battle between Galway’s top order and Quins’ opening spell crucial.
MCU Division 1 (45 Overs)
- Match: Midleton CC 2nd XI vs. Clare CC 2nd XI
- Time & Venue: 11:00 am @ Townparks, Midleton
- The Lowdown: Midleton’s seconds welcome Clare’s second string to Townparks. Midleton has enjoyed excellent club momentum of late, and playing at home gives them a slight edge. Clare’s batting lineup will need to establish early partnerships, as the Townparks pitch tends to reward disciplined line-and-length bowling.
- Match: Nenagh CC 1st XI vs. Limerick Blasters CC 1st XI
- Time & Venue: 11:00 am @ Knockshigowna Cricket Grounds, Nenagh
- The Lowdown: Nenagh playing on their home turf at Knockshigowna is always a tricky proposition for traveling sides. The Blasters boast a highly competitive, energetic squad that loves to apply pressure in the field. If Nenagh’s experienced spin department can slow down the run rate during the middle overs, we are in for a tense, low-scoring thriller.
MCU Division 3 (40 Overs)
- Match: United Cricket Clonmel 1st XI vs. Cork Harlequins CC 4th XI
- Time & Venue: 11:00 am @ Lisronagh Castle Grounds, Clonmel
- The Lowdown: Clonmel’s top squad is notoriously tough to beat at Lisronagh Castle Grounds. Harlequins’ fourths, blending youth development with experienced club campaigners, face a steep challenge. Clonmel will look to set a massive target if they bat first and use scoreboard pressure to choke out the chase.
MCU Division 4 (40 Overs)
- Match: County Kerry CC 4th XI vs. Lismore CC 2nd XI
- Time & Venue: 11:00 am @ Oyster Oval, Tralee
- The Lowdown: The Oyster Oval in Tralee is famously hard to adapt to for visiting teams, as the morning sea breeze can assist swing bowlers early. If Lismore’s top order can survive the initial powerplay, they stand a chance, but Kerry’s depth at home makes them the favorites.
MCU U13 League
- Match: Cork County CC U13 XI vs. Club Lismore CC U13
- Time & Venue: 11:00 am @ The Mardyke, Cork
- Match: County Galway CC U13 vs. Limerick CC U13 XI

MCU Sports Hub Senior Cup (50 Overs)
- Match: Limerick CC 1st XI vs. County Kerry CC 1st XI
- Time & Venue: 11:00 am @ Adare Manor, Limerick
- The Lowdown: The undisputed blockbuster match of Sunday. Limerick CC enters this tie on a high after a nail-biting, two-wicket cup win over holders Cork County, where Ramoji Alla and Anvesh Bogavelly starred with both bat and ball. County Kerry, however, pulled off one of the most destructive performances in MCU history in the previous round, amassing an unbelievable 471 runs against Nenagh. With Alam Morshed (170), Muhsin Ali (103), and Awais Saghir (97) in devastating form, Limerick’s bowling attack will have to execute their plans flawlessly at the Adare ground.
MCU Premier Division (50 Overs)
- Match: Cork County CC 1st XI vs. Midleton CC 1st XI
- Time & Venue: 12:30 pm @ The Mardyke, Cork
- The Lowdown: A premium derby at the iconic Mardyke. Cork County’s top squad will look to bounce back from their recent cup heartbreak and re-assert their dominance on home soil. Midleton, a side that has shown it can beat anyone on their day, will look to disrupt County’s rhythm early. With deep batting orders on both sides, this has all the makings of a high-scoring thriller.
MCU Division 2 (40 Overs)
- Match: Waterford Vikings 1st XI vs. Limerick CC 3rd XI
- Time & Venue: 11:00 am @ Gracedieu West, Waterford
- The Lowdown: The Vikings will look to defend Gracedieu West with a disciplined bowling display, while Limerick’s third tier will look to take control of the spin battle in the middle overs.
- Match: UCC CC 1st XI vs. Clare CC 3rd XI
- Time & Venue: 11:00 am @ The Farm Curraheen, UCC
- The Lowdown: The university ground usually plays beautifully. UCC’s free-flowing batting lineup will look to exploit the quick outfield, while Clare’s thirds must bowl defensively to restrict them.
- Match: Limerick Blasters CC 2nd XI vs. Nenagh CC 2nd XI
- Time & Venue: 11:00 am @ Croker’s Oval, Ballyneety
- The Lowdown: A classic Mid-West clash. The Blasters will count on home-ground familiarity at Ballyneety, while Nenagh’s second-string side will aim for a patient batting performance.
