Cork County CC’s 1st XI has been in sensational form, with their comprehensive victory over Limerick CC in the semi-final underscoring their title credentials. Key performers like Sunil Gautam- fresh from his Cricket Ireland Future Series duties, Brian Upman and Mark Andrianatos have been in good form with the bat, while the bowling attack including Siddharth Joshi and Hamdullah Safi have been on song with the ball.

Their opponents, County Galway CC’s 1st XI, managed to avoid a tricky semi final against Cork Harlequins, winning the rain affected match in a bowl-out. MCU Minor Cup Final

United Cricket Clonmel 2nd XI vs. Clare CC 2nd XI Date: Monday, 4 August 2025 Time: 11:00am IST Venue: Castlelands Cricket Ground, Lismore, Waterford

The Minor Cup final features United Cricket Clonmel 2nd XI and Clare CC 2nd XI in what is expected to be a competitive clash. Clonmel’s big win over a gallant Lismore CC in the semi final will give them great confidence come the final. They are a team known for their depth and fighting spirit, and will be eager to prove their quality on the big stage.

Clare CC also approach the Minor Cup final in a confident mood, having overcome Cork Harlequins by 4 wickets at Farmers Cross.  Their batting was anchored by a fantastic innings from Usama Amjad (92*), while A Mukthar with the ball had a great day out. Clare CC  has shown it can hold its nerve in a tight finish. This final is a true test of depth for both sides, and it will be interesting to see if Clonmel’s resilience or Clare’s recent winning momentum prevails.
