Over the past decade, cricket has developed rapidly in Munster. We now have in excess of 1,000 annual participants, a growing base of match officials and coaches as well as interprovincial teams at youth and adult level. There are six competitive open league divisions, cup and T20 competitions at all levels, in addition to several league, cup and super cup competitions for youth players. Womens’ cricket has emerged as a key growth area with a league and cup competition now in place.
The role of the MCU Board is to foster the development of the sport in this region, both at grassroots and pathway level. Our goal is to make it possible for players of all abilities and backgrounds to find a rewarding, enjoyable experience while participating in our game. We are committed to improving the experience of all cricket lovers in Munster and if you have any suggestions or feedback in this regard we would be delighted to hear from you.
